Interesting.
I would assume they will get destroyed if they did attempt to use work without permission, people would rise but I guess a selection of Myspace members would actually think its a good thing-thinking its exposure  .

But did you know Rupert Murdoch owns your music while it's on the site?

More incentive not to make commercial-sounding music.

why make a concious effort? That takes away the music for music sakes if you are trying to not be commercial for whatever reasons. I understand what and where you are coming from, but if music is from the heart, and it feels commercial, it doen't necesarilly mean it has been generated with the $$$ in mind ......

Re: myspace...... we have discussed it before here... I like it, I met the woman I am currently dating from myspace..... and I have met a couple of other nice people from ythere as well. Regardless of the negatives, the postives outweigh those for bands wanting to use it as a tool for self promotion.....

Death to all major chords! Where my heart used to be throbs a lump of black coal. Hence heavy riffage.

Major chords can be heavy as fuck... B major, C major, G major, A major A# major tuned down a fifth with good overdrive is killer.
