Another Heavy Metal show at the royal on Friday night.
It is always good to see new faces at shows we put on, and in particular a small group of metallers from Indonesia helped rark up the crowd with their enthusiam.
First up was Crackpot Theory who performed his solo set mainly on guitar/vocals to a backing track, with a small drum solo in the middle.
An entertaining and talented performance.
2nd up was the two piece Quagmire from New Plymouth which includes Ryan from Anno domini mortus on drums. Talented musicians playing there own kind of prog-metal with a guest vocal on a couple of tracks.
Third up was Bloodspray for politics playing our 3rd gig. It was good to see the crowd come up around the stage for the performance and we enjoyed what seemed to be a tight set. We added a new song to finish off the set. (though I guess they are all pretty new being only our 3rd gig)
Final band of the night was Project: Blood who kept the crowd rocking with
another polished performance.
Good times and thanks to everyone that came along or played and thanks to Markham for an excellent job on sound.
