As I mentioned on the news page, William 'Slammy' Edwardson from the NPHC scene and the band Nekrotika passed away on Monday the 30th July at the young age of 41.
He was a huge supporter of independent Rock n' roll and a great guy to
hang out with.
Was cool to hang out with him one last time at his Ascension to Valhalla gig at
the Blue Room in New Plymouth on Sat the 14th July with
Insidious,Black Chrome, Wrath, and Sticky filth playing

I remember back in March '05 we played a show with NEKROTIKA when he was still in the band. After the show we were partying at Slammy & Craigs and I noticed a poster for "The Terminator" on their lounge wall and said to Slammy "fuck, cool poster" and he looks at me and says "Yeah, Craig tried to tell me he (Arnie) was some kind of politician or something. So I told him "Fuck Off Man, Thats a picture of the Terminator. He's a Robot.""

He rated Wall of Silents in his top 5 bands on Punkas.

I wish I'd called in "sick" for work on Sunday 15th July now, so I could have gone to the Ascension to Valhalla gig - although there is a good chance I would have actually ended up "sick" with a hangover (...in New Plymouth)

Slammy was a really great guy.
