I was torn between the steve harris gallop and the silly but technical shit that is les claypool lol Infectious grooves had alot of cool bass playing, probably the closest to a funk player on that list... well I guess there is Flea lol what about that cat that played in Living colour? or Stu Hamm, Billy Sheehan (Joe Satriani and David Lee Roth bands respectively I think). What about Geezer Butler  ..... he was good at what a bass player should do...... sit back and drive the guitars ........ its all about guitars and drums ......
