It was a cold, wet and rainy night in the swamp to celebrate the release of our 7 Inch Vinyl. Weather warnings of a weather bomb hitting NZ, as well as there being 4 other shows on in town that night. Probably a Palmy record. There is usually only one or two gigs at the most in Palmy on any one night.
Anyway thanks to everyone that came along and rocked out to wicked sets from PomPom, Sum Tram Tigers and Boss Christ. All putting on an excellent show.
Turbostill finished the evening with a 9 song set in which we played the entire vinyl in the middle of our set, plus some oldies like "Down and Out" and "Motorway" as well as the sing along finish of "Drink Piss" (and play rock n' roll) If you are after a vinyl email turbostill@yahoo.co.nz and we'll send you one. It's $15 and it comes with a bonus cd of the tracks.
We also released our Roadtrip DVD we are selling for $5 which has about half an hour of footage from our travels during the last few years. It also has the video for "Roll me another" from the 7 Inch, as well as a few outtakes as well. They will also be available at our upcoming shows. including Sat 12th May 2012 at Whammy Bar in Auckland with Hot Grease, Sex Pest and Proton Beast. :)

This gig had mean party vibes. The right mix of bands and people made for a genuinely good time.

PomPom kicked off the night with their brand of "swampy neo-murk psych rock" which is an apt description of this funky band.

Sum Tram Tigers. My first time seeing this Wellington 3piece. They rocked. I would def see this band again and they were an excellent fit for the night. Also very ingenuous band name.

BOSS CHRIST -Party at Boss Christ's house. You can bet on it.

TURBOSTILL was the band we were all there to see. A few stop starts, they know how to bring the party . Their set was a good mix of older and newer songs. They played the 4 tracks off the vinyl in the middle of their set...great songs. Pretty glad to see a few people pick up the vinyl. So worth it.

So yeah, sum photos to come.
