In 2009 a Documentary called The Story of Anvil was released to the world. In this you discover all that was known about, or rather forgotten about band called ANVIL. Anvil are one of those unfortunate bands that should have made it massive years ago but with poor management they unintentionally seemed to have slipped undetected for many years, despite being held responsible for influencing many heavy metal greats such as the likes of Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax, etc…

It all began 37 years ago when Singer/Guitarist Lips and Drummer Rob were only 14 years old. They were best friends and started jamming together. They made a promise to each other back then and have kept it going to this day - TO KEEP ON ROCKING TOGETHER \m/ \m/

Anvil epitomizes what it means to be a true Heavy Metal Band. They could have faded into obscurity and almost did! But despite all of the many setbacks ANVIL are bringing their version of heavy and metal to NEW ZEALAND for the 1st time EVER!!
